The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions processed by Duotech Electronics. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice and supersede all previous editions.
Each order for laptops or other goods will be treated as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to these conditions. You are deemed to accept the conditions when you place an order for goods with us. The order will not be processed until we have validated and confirmed your payment, confirmed that stocks are available and accepted your offer.
All goods remain the property of Duotech Electronics until paid in full.
Payment must be by cleared funds before dispatch of the goods. Cheque, bankers draft, all major credit cards and debit cards accepted. We also accept electronic transfer and BACS. Please allow up to 7 working days for clearance of BACS and Electronic transfers before despatch of your laptop or other goods.
In addition we will supply against purchase orders for laptops or other goods from recognised government bodies, local authorities, Education, Financial and other official corporate bodies at our discretion.
All prices quoted are in UK pounds sterling and include VAT. VAT is shown separately on the invoice which is despatched with the laptop or other goods.
All information supplied is subject to no errors or omissions being found when processing the order. Any such errors or omissions will be notified and discussed with the customer prior to accepting the order. Should the price of the laptop or other goods be wrongly quoted on the website we reserve the right not to fulfil the order. We will use our best endeavours to avoid such errors.
Normally peripherals are new with manufacturers stated warranty.
You can cancel your contract at any time up to 7 working days after the day of delivery. To do this, please e-mail us or write to us. Once you have cancelled your contract please ensure that you return all items to us within 7 days of cancellation. If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own expense. You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. If you fail to return the goods, we will collect them, and we will charge you the direct cost of collection. If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value. This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights — for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
Also as per my original letter for any cancellations under the DSR you must also refund the outward delivery charges by law! Please amend this wording to reflect that.
Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, if the goods you supply are faulty then you must bear the cost of collecting them. The customer must not be charged for returning goods to you which are faulty.
New laptops carry the manufacturer’s stated warranty. Usually 12 months but can be up to 3 years.
Warranty is void if there is physical damage to the unit unless it is notified within 24 hours of receipt of the goods.
Orders will be confirmed prior to dispatch.
Laptops or other goods will be dispatched by overnight carrier and the customer will be notified of the date sent, usually with in two days of receipt of cleared funds. Any delay will be notified to the customer at the time of taking the order. Delivery of goods shall be made to UK mainland addresses only and must be signed for. The address will be the one registered with your card issuer, unless you request otherwise and we agree to such a request (at our sole discretion).
Duotech Electronics will notify you within 48 hours of any shortages in the order.
Please note that all receivers sold by duotechelectronics are strictly FTA (free to air) and must not be used to obtain any subscription based television airtime without paying for it. We do not in any way condone illegal use of our products what so ever and we cannot be held responsible for customers' unauthorised use.

Terms and Conditions of repair work

Customers who have left items for repair have 7 working days to cancel service(i.e. order or repair). If customer agrees to repair or service to be carried out within the cancellation period, then customer agrees to their right to cancel will end as soon as service (i.e. as soon as we start repairing item)

Any illegal software/firmware found on these receivers WILL void your warranty and therefore cannot be returned under any warranty. NOTE: If you decide to update the firmware and receive an error code which renders the product dead then this IS NOT covered by manufacturer’s warranty, this is done solely at your own risk.

Buying from us means that you abide by the above terms - if not, then please do not purchase.
